Important PHP upgrades

March 12th, 2012

We will be bringing the version of PHP installed on our servers up to the 5.3.x branch from next Monday 19th March as the current version is now depreciated. Whilst these updates usually go without issue, there are some fairly common functions that will very soon be unvailable. You can find out more:

Please ensure any PHP scripts you’re running are up-to-date before the upgrades next week. If you’re using commercial software and it’s running the latest version you shouldn’t have any issues.

WordPress 3.3 – important update available now

December 13th, 2011

The latest version of WordPress is now available and anyone using this software should upgrade immediately.

It includes a new drag-and-drop uploader, hover menus for the navigation, a new toolbar, improved co-editing support, and a new Tumblr importer. More information is available directly from WordPress at http://wordpress.org/news/2011/12/sonny/

Keeping software installed in your webspace up-to-date is critical to ensure hackers can’t gain access to your and your fellow hosters data through security exploits.

Why not invest in a GeoTrust Anti-Malware Scan to prove to your customers that you care about their security? Find out more at http://www.simplewebhosting.co.uk/web-hosting/geotrust-anti-malware-scan.php
