ICANN (the governing body of many top level domain names such as .com, .net, biz, etc) has recently brought in changes to the way it verifies domain ownership.
Once a year and each time your domain is renewed or modified, they’ll send an email to the registrant’s email address to ask you to verify your contact information. If you don’t action this email or if it bounces because your email address is not up-to-date, ICANN will suspend your domain name.
We think this is a ridiculous action leading to more work for us and our customers but unfortunately it’s been imposed on us both.
Please keep a look out for these authorisation emails – they will save your domain!
